While visiting family at home, I decided to order from here from GrubHub for me and my mom and we were thoroughly impressed. We both really enjoyed the sausage gravy biscuit, especially me! It's hard to find a good gravy biscuit in DC, so when I had this it brought me back to home. My mom said you can tell this food is homemade and even compared it to her granny's cooking which is saying a lot. The bacon was also extra crispy and delicious! The gravy biscuit meal not only comes with two biscuits and a thing of sausage gravy, but you also get eggs which you can scramble with cheese and a side of bacon. In my opinion, that's a good deal! I will definitely be trying this in person when I'm looking for a good breakfast spot downtown!

If you find yourself in downtown Chattanooga and are in the mood for a fun, flavorful breakfast or brunch, Ruby Sunshine is an absolute must-try. This charming little spot is as vibrant as it is delicious, offering a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Their menu is a delightful mix of Southern comfort food with a creative twist, and everything is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The *Eggs Benedict* with fried green tomatoes is a standout -- the perfectly poached eggs, the tangy hollandaise, and the crispy fried green tomatoes make for an irresistible combination. And if you're in the mood for something sweet, their *Banana Foster French Toast* is a heavenly treat, with layers of rich flavor and just the right amount of sweetness.

Great food and service!!! Special gluten free menu with a variety of options Dog friendly patio with pup menu for furry friends

Another great place for brunch! Start off with a cocktail from the menu list and dive into a menu full of items fit for adults and kids. My wife and I were craving Eggs Benedict. I had the Trifecta and she had the Bayou Shrimp Benedict. You couldn't go wrong with either choice. My eyes are bigger than my stomach as the Trifecta was terrific -- but way too much food. The atmosphere is like New Orleans Ruby Slipper as there are Cajun items available on the menu. The server Lacey provided a lot of available options and also places to visit during our brief stay.

Our server Aaron was awesome and they were willing to make accommodations for our son by making silver dollar pancakes. The food is awesome as always! My wife had the bananas foster French toast and I had the BLT with breakfast potatoes. Quick service and great food!

Loved, loved, loved Ruby Sunshine so much! We were only in town for one night, and before we hit the road to drive back to Knoxville we decided to stop for breakfast at Ruby Sunshine. Talk about the highlight of our overnight stay! A truly wonderful meal. My friend and I started off with cocktails (I had the blood orange mimosa, and she had the amaretto iced coffee) that were excellent and really set the tone. Not a bad bite for me throughout the meal. We ordered the apple pie beignets to share, and I had the florentine omelet and my friend had the sweet heat chicken with grits and brussels. The side salad for my omelet was not dressed, but other than that no issue in my meal. I checked in with yelp and got a free starter, so we added the fried green tomatoes to our meal. Mixed review on that as my friend was not a fan, but I liked them a lot. Overall, this was a great place for a casual weekend brunch. If I find myself back in Chattanooga, I will be returning.

2nd time here. 15 year wedding anniversary. Worth it! Once again, this place dazzles with their exciting appetizers! Crispy Brussel Sprouts??? Are you serious right now??? Look, if you are reading this in the fall of 2024, stop what you are doing right now. Get on the waitlist for the next open slot at Ruby Sunshine and order these Brussel sprouts. They will change your life. Kinda hard to describe the taste but "airy" will suffice. You might think, "why would I want airy brussel sprouts", but you don't know what you want. They are sweet, airy, crispy, and packed with flavor. Moving on, here's a tip, the Sweet Heat chicken can be ordered along with the biscuits. Do it. The chicken isn't too spicy, it's not "Nashville Hot" (which is great by the way) it's just right. When you get the chicken, cut some of it, and add it directly to the biscuits and gravy. Then, take some of the Sweet Heat sauce puddle and drop it on top of the biscuits. Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

After doing some research on good breakfast spots, I decided to check out Ruby Sunshine, and I'm so glad I did! The menu looked incredibly enticing, and the restaurant itself was spotless and well-run. I was seated quickly and kicked things off with a boozy iced coffee--refreshing and just what I needed to start my day. For my meal, I went with the Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict, and wow, was it remarkable! It featured spicy fried chicken breast served over a buttermilk biscuit, topped with perfectly poached eggs, Alabama white sauce, and candied jalapeños. The dish was a delightful mix of flavors--sweet, spicy, and savory--with layers that kept me coming back for more. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the eggs were poached to perfection. This is a dish I would definitely return for! I also tried the Tres Leches Pancakes, which were phenomenal. I've never seen anything like them on a menu before, and they absolutely nailed it. The pancakes were incredibly soft with a slight crisp on the outside, topped with whipped cream and just the right amount of sweetness. It was a perfect balance without being overpowering. Ruby Sunshine is definitely worth the trip if you're in Chattanooga--or even if you're not. I'd gladly make a special trip back just to eat here again!

Sweet and hot chicken and French toast bites was delicious... lick up the plate good. Service was quick and friendly. Plenty of parking on the street. Restaurant was clean. Food came out quick and hot. .

Honestly the food was great on my end, but they didn't cook the whites enough on her eggs for her benedict so she switched it with biscuits and gravy which were really good. The server was really nice and patient with us because I feel like we had him do a lot of running on this visit. The atmosphere was very relaxing and I do wish we were able to sit outside but the patio was full. I do recommend going here because despite it being busy everyone was friendly and the kitchen got our food out pretty quick.
